MEGameTracker

An (unofficial) iOS app to guide your gameplay inside Mass Effect.*

Universal for all iOS devices.

100% FREE.

* MEGameTracker is not affiliated with Electronic Arts Inc. or its licensors.

Time to Play

The Mass Effect games have a sprawling galaxy, cast of characters, and intertwined missions. You might run into someone who knows you in Game 3 and wonder where you met them in Game 1. You might be worried about the consequences of killing Lord Darius. You might be pissed off because you can't find the 20th Keeper. That's where MEGameTracker can help!

We provide the maps, missions, people - all the information you need, in an easily searchable and cross-referenced format. Make notes, track objectives.

Goals

This app is still currently a work-in-progress. Game 1 is complete and the majority of Game 2 has been added, but Game 3 does not have any maps or loot at present.

So, here are some of our goals:

  • TODO: Open the application code on GitHub.
  • TODO: Finish adding data, maps, and photos for Games 2 and 3.
  • TODO: Create export/import feature so players can use the gameplay data in any application of their choice.
  • TODO: Provide a suggestion feature to look for new gameplay choices.

Track Playthroughs By Name/Date

Every time you start a new Shepard, you can add it to the app. Take a photo; Save your face settings; Record your decisions and love interest; Take notes (visible to all your Shepards, with a marker for date and which Shepard made the note).

If you have an iCloud account, this data will also be available to all your devices.

All The Maps

Easily locate any location using the Galaxy Map, or search for locations, items, or even missions by name and navigate to their map instantly. All maps have hierarchical breadcrumbs to help you uncover exactly how to travel there.

All The Missions

Missions are broken down by category and sorted by availability. As you work your way through the game, new missions will become available and completed missions will be pushed to the bottom, so you can easily see what you have left to do.

Missions + Maps

Easily locate mission objectives or collect items. As you complete objectives or acquire collections, they will disappear from the map, to keep down on irrelevant clutter.

All The People

Short bios are included for all the people you meet; including relevant missions, decisions, and possible side-effects in future games.

People are grouped under Squad, Enemies, and Associates. Additional encounters can be found using the search feature (there are too many of them to list in the main groups-!).

Report a Bug

We'll add some more options soon, but for now:

Known Bugs

Last Updated: 2017/02/01

  • I am still seeing irregular instances of availability changes not being displayed when missions are completed. This is a UI issue only.
  • The persons list under the Group tab in iPad are disappearing when viewed split between list/person views. Clicking the area usually drags the list back into view.
  • If you select a mission "deep link" from inside a text view (eg., a person's description) *before* the Missions tab has been loaded, it will spin forever in an empty missions category list. Just go back to the link and click it again to resolve the problem.
